Abstract: 

This paper gives a review of the findings of three of our case studies: GESAMP, GOMC and FAO/CRFM. The paper appears as Chapter 11 in the textbook “Grey literature in library and information studies” which brings together research on the use of grey literature over the past decade. This book is available in hardcopy and as an eBook and is aimed at a broad spectrum of readers including students and professionals in library and information science, environmental research as well as policy makers and managers.
